I’m 20 weeks today!!!! Yipee!!!!!!!!!

Quick update:

*Off bedrest

*20 weeks pregnant

*Baby Boy weighs about 15 oz.

*Still out of work until I reach 24 weeks (viability)

*Getting my energy/strength back – very tired (hence limited posting…)

*Still have Bill the Bleed and he is not much smaller – no change in two weeks.

*Had a scare about my heart (found out I now have two valves leaking and my right ventrical is a bit enlarged). But all is well and these are likely pregnancy-related things that should go away. Unfortunately I have to deal with the side effects (fatigue and bad palpatations).

*Very glad to be out of the house!!!!

*Great ultrasound this week with Baby Boy sucking his thumb!!!

*Overall – VERY HAPPY and SO in love!!!!!!!!

Here are some pics! πŸ™‚ Thanks for checking!

  1. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such clear ultrasound pictures. they’re great!
Congrats on hitting 20 weeks. I’m still stuck at home lying around for early contractions, so I totally get the countdown to 24 weeks.
Glad to hear things have settled down for you. Which heart valves are causing you trouble? I’m hoping my mitral valve prolapse doesn’t get worse in pregnancy. So far haven’t noticed any strange symptoms, thankfully. Hope yours don’t get much worse, and recover quickly after you deliver.

  2. Hi Kate :0) Thanks for writing!

    Ugh – I’m sorry you’re on bedrest 😦 It’s absolutely NO FUN!

I have Mitral Valve Prolapse with regurgitation – so that’s leak #1. And now my tricuspid valve is leaking as well – leak #2! Yippeee!!! I’m having TONS of palpitations and am very tired and have had some near fainting spells – it’s hard to tell (other than the palps) if these are from bedrest or my heart.

I hope you get off bedrest soon! I’m glad someone else relates to my 24 week milestone!! It’ll be a HUGE one! πŸ™‚ Good luck to you! I’ll have to catch up on your blog tomorrow – for now I need sleep! ::yawn:: πŸ™‚

  5. Hmmm…am I looking forward to going back to work…I have very mixed feelings about this. I’m already getting a bit bored so it will be nice to have something to do, yes. But, I’m nervous something might go wrong. I know it’s really no different than staying home, but it makes me nervous. Plus, I’m still having a lot of weird symptoms (my heart palps are BAD and I’m pretty tired most of the time – even by doing only small things. So I’m not sure I guess if I am looking forward or not!!! Maybe in a few weeks I’ll feel a little more “ready.” I’m just not there yet!
